A 17MB update has just gone live to all PlayStation 3 users bringing back the recently removed Modern Warfare 2 map ‘Favela’, the map was removed a couple of weeks ago for supposedly being ‘offensive’ to Muslims. This controversy started when a YouTube Video pointed out the offence and demanded Infinity Ward fix the issue of severe action will be taken. The issue was that a picture frame containing the words ‘Allah’ were inscribed in a picture frame of a picture that was hung on a wall in a bathroom.
With the new update the map is now back with minor modifications including the removal of the ‘offensive’ picture frame. No word yet on when Xbox 360 players will receive the update.
