An new interview between @IGN & Telltale Games has shed more light on their plans for the future of the games franchise. Gary Whitta – story writer from Telltale stated that;
“You won’t have to wait for season two to play more Walking Dead,”
Rumuors had already been circulating that Telltale were in the process of creating a season 2 for the game, after season 1 received such great reviews & had an enormous amount of success. Although we can pretty much say these rumours were confirmed when the game won the ‘game of the year’ award at last years VGA’s (Video Game Awards).
“I can tell you what you already know, which is season two is coming. There’s not much to say because it really is very early…it’s a way off, But, knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more walking Dead…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.”
There was no mention of when we might see the reveal of their new plans or what consoles it will be available on. Maybe Telltale is planning on releasing this extra content between seasons, to push back the release of season 2 to make it eligible for a next-gen release?
